Cytokine Signalling and its regulation

Wednesday seminar hosted by Associate Professors Peter Czabotar and Matthew Call

Jeff Babon is a graduate of Melbourne University and obtained his PhD at the Murdoch Institute. He undertook postdoctoral training at the National Institute of Medical Research (London, UK) and then returned to Australia in 2003 to take a position in the Structural Biology Division at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute.

Jeff’s research focusses on regulation of Cytokine Signalling, in particular those cytokines that signal via the JAK/STAT pathway. He uses structural biology and biochemistry to study mechanism within these pathways to understand the role they play in haematological disease.
