Running for research

In 2015, more than 70 eager runners and walkers took part in The Age Run Melbourne. Made up of institute staff and students, as well as friends from the broader community, our team raised $33,000 in support of our young researchers.

The result of this outstanding community fundraising effort? We created 24 national and international travel scholarships for our young research assistants and technicians, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.

Supporting the next generation of scientists

Travelling to scientific conferences helps our researchers build crucial professional and collaborative networks, and ensures they can present their latest research to their peers.
