I lead the Legal & Licensing team in the Institute’s Business Development Office. We work closely with the Commercialisation team to protect and support translation and commercialisation of the Institute’s intellectual property.  

The Legal & Licensing team is responsible for management of the Institute’s patent portfolio and for preparation and negotiation of the agreements that underpin the Institute's relationships with academic and commercial collaborators and partners. We focus on providing commercial, pragmatic legal support for projects at all stages of their lifecycle.

I am a specialist technology commercialisation lawyer, with many years’ experience providing front-end legal support to progress medical research projects from the laboratory to the clinic and then to market. Prior to joining the Institute, I was a senior in-house lawyer at CSL, providing support to CSL’s global R&D and corporate strategy divisions.
